Fall: Thursday, October 11 – Saturday, October 13, 2007 - Camp Full! See below for 2008 dates.
What to expect this fall
We made a few adjustments to camp. Instead of beginning Thursday morning, we will begin Thursday afternoon, October 11.
Camp will begin at 4:00 with our first talk, followed by supper, followed by our second talk.
Friday we will have four talks instead of the usual three, and then have three on Saturday.
We will, as per usual, have a barn dance planned for Friday evening.
We'd also like to encourage our campers, if at all possible, to stick around and worship with us on the Lord's Day.
We have yet to have any campers regret taking the extra time.
Worship is not only the end of our lives, but the most fitting end to camp.
You can register for camp here. Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions.
We will have a limited number of family homes you can stay in if you so choose as well, but these will likely go quickly.
We look forward to seeing you.
We also have a photo galleries of our most recent Couples Camps available for those who want a visual of what to expect.
You can view the gallery here.

Camp?
"We certainly learned alot and had so much fun doing so. You all are a very special group of people and everyone made us feel right at home. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom and most importantly, your lives with us."

You remember camp. You made some new friends, you got away from it all and breathed some fresh air, you had lots of fun, and maybe along the way you learned something. Why not do it again?
At the Highlands Study Center Camp for Couples you won’t be gone long enough to get homesick, you won’t have to prepare your cabin for inspection, you won’t battle mosquitos or poison ivy, and you won’t have to drag your parents out for Parents’ Day. But you will learn something.
We are inviting ten couples to come for three days of intense conversation, as well as a great deal of fun. The camp is held in the town of Mendota in the highlands of Southwest Virginia. Students can lodge in one of the many area motels or bed and breakfasts.
We will not only talk about how to be a kingdom-building, King-serving family, but we will talk about it in the context of such families. Be forewarned: Already we have had several sets of campers decide to up and move here.
What will we be studying?
We will follow three distinct but related areas of inquiry: the biblical view of the family, the sovereignty of God, and the unstoppable spread of the Kingdom of God.
We will see how God has established families as His building blocks for the sovereign work of building His kingdom. We will meet twice in the morning and once in the afternoon. We will talk together, with plenty of time for questions and answers.
When we are not in our more formal meetings, there will be plenty of additional time for discussion on the topics we are studying, as well as anything else of interest. We will be eating our meals together, and perhaps we will even have some fun together. There will be ample time for reading, recreating and sightseeing. There is no curfew.
Who will be teaching?
Your teacher will be Dr. R.C. Sproul Jr., director of the Highlands Study Center, author or editor of nine books, editor of Every Thought Captive, husband to Denise, and father to—for now—seven blessings. R.C. is also an ex-miserable failure as a chicken farmer who, by dint of diligence and steely will, has managed to exercise dominion over his flock.
Who can come?
Any couple is welcome to come. You are responsible for arranging your own lodging; visit our lodging page for a list of some options. Those living in the area are, of course, free to stay at home. Children—though we affirm with great vigor that they are a blessing—are not invited, and daycare is not provided. Nursing babies, however, are welcome.
What does it cost?
Each couple will be asked to pay $200 tuition, but if finances are a problem and you’d like to come, please let us know. Your meals during the three days (Thursday breakfast thru Saturday lunch) of the camp will be provided.
Will it be fun?
We think so.
How can I sign up?
All you need to do is contact us to reserve your spot. Call toll-free at 877-878-2238 or drop us a line at Highlands Study Center, P.O. Box 16488, Bristol, Va. 24209, or you can e-mail . You can ask any questions you might have in exactly the same way.
To reserve your spot, you need to send us a 50% deposit; the balance is due 30 days before camp starts, which is also the last day for a refund. If for any reason you need to back out, we will gladly refund your money if your spot has been filled.
If you come, we may even teach you the secret camp handshake. We hope we’ll see you here.
